Eligibility Criteria for Assistant Director and Other Posts
Educational Qualification:
  • Assistant Director (Fishing Harbour) - Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or Institute. (Three years experience in Port or Harbour Engineering in Central Government or State Government or Public Sector Undertakings or Port Trust or Private Registered construction companies or Bodies.
  • Assistant Director (QA) (Gr.II) (Electrical Engg.) - Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Technology in Electrical discipline of a recognized University or associate membership examination Part I and Part II of the Institution of Engineers (India) in the above discipline of Engineering or Technology.
  • Assistant Director (QA) (Gr.II) (Electronics and Communication Engg. - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology in Electronics and Communication discipline of a recognized University or associate membership examination Part I and Part II of the Institution of Engineers (India) in the above discipline of Engineering or Technology.
  • Assistant Director (QA) (Gr.II) (Mechanical Engg.) - Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Technology in Mechanical discipline of a recognized University or associate membership examination Part I and Part II of the Institution of Engineers (India) in the above discipline of Engineering or Technology.
  • Assistant Director (QA) (Gr.II) (Textile Engg.) - Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Technology in Textile discipline of a recognized University or associate membership examination Part I and Part II of the Institution of Engineers (India) in the above discipline of Engineering or Technology.
  • Assistant Directors (Capital Market) - Chartered Accountant or Cost and Management Accountant or Chartered Financial Analyst or MBA (Finance) or Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Finance) or Company Secretary.
  • Senior Scientific Officer Grade-II (Chemical) - Master’s Degree in Chemistry or Degree in Chemical Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent.
  • Scientific Officer Grade-II (Computer Engg./ Information Technology)- Degree in Computer Engineering / Information Technology from a recognized University or equivalent OR Master’s Degree in Computer Science from a recognized University or equivalent.
  • Senior Scientific Officers Grade-II (Electrical) - Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent.
  • Assistant Engineers (NQA) (Chemical Engineering) - Degree in Chemical Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent ORM. Sc in Chemistry from recognized university or equivalent.
  • Assistant Engineers (NQA) (Electrical Engineering) - Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from recognized university or equivalent.
  • Assistant Engineers (NQA) (Metallurgical Engineering) - Degree in Metallurgical Engineering from recognized university or equivalent.
  • Specialists Grade III (Medicine)- A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 ( 102 of 1956). Holders of Educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section(3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956(102 of 1956). ii) Post- Graduate Degree or Diploma in the concerned specialty or Super-specialty mentioned in Section A or Section B in Schedule VI i.e. Doctor of Medicine (Medicine); or Doctor of Medicine (General Medicine).
  • Specialist Grade III (Psychiatry)- A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 ( 102 of 1956). Holders of Educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section(3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956(102 of 1956). ii) Post- Graduate Degree or Diploma in the concerned specialty or Super-specialty mentioned in Section A or Section B in Schedule VI i.e. Doctor of Medicine (Psychiatry); or Doctor of Medicine (Psychological Medicine); or Doctor of Medicine in Medicine, with Diploma in Psychological Medicine; or Diploma in Psychiatry (Edin) of two years course; or Diploma in Psychiatry (Mc. Gill) University, Montreal, Canada of two years’ course; or Diploma in Psychological Medicine (One year course).
  • Specialists Grade-III Assistant Professor (Anesthesia)- A recognized MBBS degree qualification included in the First Schedule or the Second Schedule or Part-II of the Third Schedule (other than licentiate qualifications) to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956(102 of 1956). Holders of educational qualifications included in Part-II of the Third Schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in sub-section (3) of section 13 of the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). (ii) Post Graduate degree in the concerned Specialist or Super-specialty mentioned in Section ‘A’ of Schedule VI i.e., Doctor of Medicine (Anesthesiology); or Master of Surgery (Anesthesiology).
  • Joint Director in Directorate of Adult Education- Master’s degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute. (ii) Degree or Diploma in Education or Adult Education or Sociology or Psychology or Statistics from a recognized University or Institute.
  • Assistant Director General of Shipping in Directorate General of Shipping, Mumbai-Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.
  • Senior Lecturer (Anesthesiology) - A basic University or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register. (ii) MD (Anesthesiology)/ MS (Anesthesiology) from a recognized University / Institution or equivalent.
  • Senior Lecturers (Biochemistry) - A basic University or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register. (ii) MD (Biochemistry)/ MBBS with M.Sc. (Medical Bio-Chemistry) from a recognized University / Institution or equivalent OR (b) (i) M.Sc. (Medical Bio-Chemistry) from a recognized University / Institution or equivalent. (ii) Ph.D. (Medical Bio-Chemistry)/ D.Sc. (Medical Bio-Chemistry) from a recognized University / Institution or equivalent.
  • Senior Lecturers (Community Medicine) - basic University or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register. (ii) MD (Social and Preventive Medicine)/ MD (Community Medicine) from a recognized University / Institution or equivalent.
  • Senior Lecturers (Forensic Medicine) - A basic University or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register. (ii) MD (Forensic Medicine) from a recognized University / Institution or equivalent.
  • Senior Lecturer (General Medicine) - A basic University or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register. (ii) MD (Medicine)/ MD (General Medicine) from a recognized University / Institution or equivalent.
  • Senior Lecturers (Immuno-Hematology & Blood Transfusion) - A basic University or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register. (ii) DM (Immunology) or MD (Immuno-Hematology and Blood Transfusion)/ MD (Pathology or Bacteriology or Hematology) with two year’s teaching experience or special training in the Department of Immuno-Hematology and Blood Transfusion from a recognized University / Institution or equivalent.
  • Senior Lecturer (Pediatrics) - A basic University or equivalent qualification included in any 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register. (ii) MD (Pediatrics) from a recognized University / Institution or equivalent
  • Senior Lecturer (Pharmacology) - A basic University or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register. (ii) MD (Pharmacology)/ MBBS with Ph.D. (Medical Pharmacology) from a recognized University / Institution or equivalent OR (i) M. Sc. (Medical Pharmacology) from a recognized University / Institution or equivalent. (ii) PhD (Medical Pharmacology)/ D.Sc. (Medical Pharmacology) from a recognized University /Institution or equivalent
  • Senior Lecturer (Physiology) - A basic University or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register. (ii) MD (Physiology)/ MBBS with M.Sc. (Physiology) from a recognized University / Institution or equivalent OR (b) (i) M.Sc. (Medical Physiology) from a recognized University / Institution or equivalent. (ii) Ph. D (Medical Physiology)/ D.Sc. (Medical Physiology) from a recognized University / Institution or equivalent
  • Senior Lecturer (Radio-Diagnosis) - A basic University or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register. (ii) MD (Radiodiagnosis)/ MD (Radiology)/MS (Radiology) from a recognized University / Institution or equivalent.
  • Senior Lecturer (Tuberculosis & Respiratory Disease) - basic University or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register. (ii) MD (Tuberculosis)/ MD (T.B. and Respiratory Diseases)/ MD (Medicine) with T.D.D., D.T.D, or D.T.C.D/ MD (T.B. and Chest Diseases) from a recognized University / Institution or equivalent.
  • Architect in Department of Urban Planning (Architecture Wing) - Degree in Architecture or an equivalent from a recognized University/Institution or equivalent (Associate Membership of the Indian Institute of Architects (by Examination). (ii) Should be registered with the Council of Architecture India.
